Photo gallery of Martinique

Martinique, also known as “the island of flowers”, is a French insular region located in the Caribbean more precisely in the archipelago of the Lesser Antilles. It is  both an overseas region and an overseas department. Thus, Martinique offers a varied relief, ranging from hills and bays to the south, a large plain in the center and cliffs and mountains covered with vegetation to the north. Due to volcanic origin, the island still has a working volcano, the Pelee mountain, also the highest point of the island (1,397 meters) .

This page of photographs lists snapshots made during my trip in January 2017. There are mainly photographs of landscapes made around the city of Fort-de-France. By the way, some pictures are also visible on my gallery 500px: https://500px.com/emiliebouvier1
